Campaign Progress

We're thrilled to announce that Long Pasture's first-ever capital campaign is fast closing in on its target of raising $1.7 million for the Discovery Center, our expanded education and visitor services space. This new building—which is currently under construction—will enable the sanctuary to continue offering programs that cultivate environmental literacy in engaging, compelling, hands-on ways.

With only $100,000 remaining in the final public fundraising phase, we are so close to our goal. But we can't do this without your support.

All New Donations Will be Doubled!

Thanks to a generous $50,000 matching challenge from an anonymous donor, all new campaign gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar. That means your contribution—of any size—will have double the impact!

Please make a gift today to help us meet the challenge and raise the next generation of nature heroes.

As a special thank you, donors who give $1,000 or more will be recognized on the Donor Wall in the new Discovery Center building.

I want every Cape Cod child to protect nature because they learned to love it first! Long Pasture excels at providing opportunities for connection.

–Ian Ives, Sanctuary Director

Long Pasture's programs cultivate environmental literacy in engaging, compelling, hands-on ways. The resulting intimacy with nature inspires adults and children alike to form positive, personal connections to the environment, creating the next generation of conservationists.

The Long Pasture team works from a private home that was modified to serve as a visitor center in 2006. The building has 700 square feet of program and public greeting space, which is no longer sufficient and offers limited flexibility.

This project will enhance our ability to meet the community’s need for nature-based education and shape learning at Long Pasture for decades to come.

With the successful completion of this Discovery Center Campaign, Long Pasture will have the built-in capacity to serve as the leading destination for high-quality public nature programming as well as the premier source of experiential nature-based education for schools on the Mid and Upper Cape.
