Arcadia offers programs for all levels of Girl and Boy Scouts. Our qualified educators are available to lead groups, explore the diverse habitats of the wildlife sanctuary, and cover many natural history topics. Programs are offered after school or on weekends.
We can also design a program to fulfill the requirements of a specific badge. Large-group Girl Scout badges are also cosponsored with the Girl Scouts of Central/Western Massachusetts. Ask us about opportunities for Eagle or Gold Award projects!
We offer a variety of homeschool programs for students ages 5-11, each of which features a different and engaging nature-based, science-related theme. Our Homeschool Exploration programs are designed for ages 9-11 and offered as 2-hour, individual drop-off programs. We also offer a 5-session homeschool program that takes place once a week on Wednesdays (ages 5-10) and Thursdays (ages 7-11).
Programs take place entirely outdoors, with the exception of bathroom breaks and in case of sudden bad weather. Participants will also receive optional journal assignments each week to help further their learning and share with their families.
With over 700 acres of forest, meadows, marsh, and wetlands, as well as abundant wildlife throughout the year, Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary offers a perfect setting for your event.
Our large meeting room has a view of a vernal pool, permanent pond, and field while our small meeting room offers a bright space for more intimate groups.
