The Monadnock Conservation Center offers programs for all levels of Girl and Boy Scouts. Our qualified educators are available to lead groups as they explore diverse habitats of the wildlife sanctuary, covering many natural history topics. We can also design a program to fulfill the requirements of a specific badge. Self-guided hikes can also be arranged. Programs are offered after school or on weekends. Ask us about our cabins and yurts for overnight camping accommodations at our site.
Our homeschool programs are designed to encourage children to interact with the natural environment through exploration and science-based learning and with each other through group building and games. Portions of the program will take place indoors, but most days we anticipate spending the majority of our time outdoors exploring the sanctuary. Participants will also receive “home projects” each week to help further their learning and to share with their families.
Educational and youth serving organizations (i.e. scouts, youth groups, and private schools) may lease the Wildwood facilities in the spring or fall. The dining hall can seat up to 135 people, and lodging is available in rustic cabins or yurts, complete with bunk beds. Wildwood staff and provide programming to supplement your group’s needs.
