Learn about the various ways we advance our Action Agenda through advocacy, meet lawmakers who are helping us move our priorities forward, and leave equipped as to how members of governance can help advance Mass Audubon’s transformative policy agenda.

5:00-7:00 pm | Social Hour at Carrie Nation Cocktail Club (Optional)
Please join us for food, drinks and informal merriment. Carrie Nation is a short 2-minute walk from the State House, down the block on Beacon Street.

FAQs

How can I get to the State House?  Where do I park?

The State House is easily accessible by public transit (encouraged) via MBTA bus or the Green/Orange/Red/Silver lines. Parking is available at the Boston Common Garage (Propark) or the One Beacon Garage. Find additional details and directions through the Massachusetts State House.

What should I wear?  

Please dress in business casual for the day.

Where do I go once I get to the State House?

The entrance to the building is via the General Hooker Entrance, which is at 24 Beacon Street at the top of Park Street. Walk towards the statue of General Hooker, up the stairs, and through security. All visitors will be screened by security and must go through metal detectors. Accessible entrance is located on Bowdoin Street. DCR rangers are happy to assist if you need to ask for directions.

Where are we meeting inside for the State House tour at 1:30 pm?   

After security, head left down the hallway and look for a sign marked “State House Tours.” At the end of the hallway, take the elevator or stairs up to the second floor. Veer left into Doric Hall; the tour will begin at the desk inside the hall.

Where are we meeting inside for the Action Agenda Forum program at 2:15 pm?

Follow the State House Tour directions above, except instead of veering left on the 2nd floor towards Doric Hall, veer right towards Room 222.

How can I carpool with fellow members?  

Consider carpooling with fellow members of governance from your region. An attendee list with towns and emails will be shared several weeks prior to the event.  

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the day?  

Prior to the event, we will share a more detailed program and logistical information as well as any additional materials.
