Top finishers in their races will win prizes donated by local businesses. Some lucky runners will also win through raffle selection. Pay homage to your favorite plant or animal species with a creative costume and you could even win best dressed! Runners must be present to claim prizes.

Pleasant Valley’s annual Wild Thing is a fundraising event which supports Mass Audubon’s conservation and environmental education programming in Berkshire County.

What to Know Before You Go

There is one water station along the 5k course which runners will pass twice. Three water stations are posted along the 10k course. Water, Gatorade, and light snacks will be available at the finish line. Refillable water bottle stations are available at Pleasant Valley.

Accessible restrooms are available in the barn, including family and all gender restrooms.

Spectators are welcome along the course and start/finish area at Pleasant Valley. Dogs are allowed within Kennedy Park but please no dogs at the Pleasant Valley start/finish area. The 5k and 10k routes feature single-track rails and scenic carriage roads nearby Kennedy Park. The trails have uneven terrain and vary in elevation.
