Summer Camp at Broadmoor
Broadmoor Summer Camp gives children ages 4–14 a chance to do what comes naturally: explore, have fun, and make friends! Campers experience nature and create lifelong memories through guided outdoor explorations and nature-inspired games, activities, and crafts. They also come to understand their place in nature, as well as the importance of preserving it. Low counselor-to-camper ratios ensure that children stay safe and engaged with role models who are creative, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic.
One- and two-week sessions have campers outside playing in the woods, discovering turtles and frogs in the marsh, and roaming the fields alongside the dragonflies. Our oldest campers take amazing journeys, canoeing and venturing beyond the sanctuary. No two days are alike!
Programs and age groups include:
- Mini Discoverers (ages 4–5, half day)
- Discoverers (ages 5–6, full day)
- Naturalists (ages 7–8)
- Explorers (ages 9–10)
- Voyagers (ages 11–14)
No two days are alike at camp, but this sample schedule gives an overview of daily activities and flow.
At our camp, discovery takes center stage. Campers are encouraged to explore and appreciate the miracles and mysteries of our natural world. Through hands-on learning, they come to understand their place in nature as well as the importance of preserving it.

NEW! Nature Play Area
Last summer the wild area full of invasive species adjacent to the parking lot was transformed into a beautiful Nature Play Area. Mini Discoverers and Discoverers will spend some time here each day for unstructured free play. Activities may include climbing on logs and stumps, building and constructing with stones and wooden sticks, digging and building in sand, and exploring around the flowers and shrubs.
