Description
Dig into fall's amazing display of seasonal transformations. Insects and spiders are laying their eggs to overwinter, wildflowers are dispersing their seeds for next spring, deciduous trees are bursting with color, and wildlife populations undergo impressive transitions while preparing for winter. Discover the unique features on display each month through the eyes of a naturalist, and then venture out to observe these phenomena close to home. Each online presentation will include optional field exercises you can try in your neighborhood, and a list of related in-person programs you can join to practice your skills.
Each Fall Phenomena session stands alone, but if you register for this full series before it starts on 9/17/24 you get all 4 sessions listed below for the price of 3.
September 17: In the Field
October 8: In the Forest
November 12: Seeds, Nuts, & Berries
December 10: Transition to Cold Weather
To join the full series after it starts and receive recordings of the session(s) you missed, email [email protected] for assistance.
