South Shore Hotspots

Description

Travel with us to the South Shore where we will visit many of the top birding locations in the area-Cumberland Farm Fields, Minot Rocks, Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary, Brant Rock, Plymouth, Duxbury Beach, and the Lakeville area.

The day will cover rocky shore, inland water, ocean beach, and grassland habitats. Our target birds will include raptors (Rough-legged Hawk, Short-eared Owl), up to 18 species of ducks (including Harlequin), land birds (Snow Bunting, Lapland Longspur), and shorebirds (Purple Sandpiper, etc). Given our past experiences, we should have a diversity of close-up looks and many opportunities to sharpen our ID skills.

This program is also open to teens ages 14 and older with an adult.

Checking registration status.
