Please join us as we kick off our USFWS Candidate Conservation Action Fund grant project by preparing a portion of our project area to be drill seeded with pollinator seeds including Wild Indigo (Baptisia tinctoria), the host plant of the Frosted Elfin (Callophrysirus). We will remove rock and debris that will inhibit drill seeding and further ongoing management of this location. The main objective of this multi-year grant-funded project is to convert former gravel pits to native meadows in order to provide habitat for the Frosted Elfin butterfly. We are looking forward to having you help out with this initiative!

This event requires completing physical tasks and walking on uneven surfaces. If you do not have work gloves, we have extra that can be provided to you for the duration of the volunteer event. There is no restroom on site. Please bring enough water to stay hydrated throughout the event. Please bring snacks, if needed, for the duration of the event.

Rain Date: Friday, May 20th 9:00-12:00
