This three program series is a great way to take a deep dive into fall bird migration. Beginning with the earlier September warbler migrants, we will search for skulky October sparrows, and then finish with later waterfowl in November that round out the last of fall migration. Sign-up for one program or all three for a discounted rate!

Berkshire County Lakes

Saturday, November 5 / 7:30-11:30 am

Led by Zach Adams, Sanctuary Naturalist and Dale Abrams, Sanctuary Naturalist and Education Coordinator

$20 M, $25 NM, per session

Spend the morning visiting several Berkshire lakes in search of migrating waterfowl that only briefly stopover in the area. Culminating with a stop at Bartlett's Apple Orchard for hot cider and doughnuts, we'll search for loons, grebes, and the hundreds of ducks fleeing the cold of the north. Travel by Mass Audubon vehicle or carpool between sites. Minimal hiking involved. Spotting scopes provided.

Registration is required.
