Spring Frog and Salamander Search for Families

Search our woods and wetlands for fun and fascinating amphibians of the spring. Spotted Salamanders and Wood Frogs spend their days under logs, stones, and other forest-floor objects, venturing out only on cool, moist evenings. We will search Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary for the sights and sounds of amphibians at night.

Instructions and Directions:

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather with long pants, long sleeves, and boots. Flashlights and headlamps are suggested.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will be conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. Groups are limited to 11 preregistered participants, we cannot accommodate walk-ins. Participants are required to wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines. A detailed confirmation letter will be emailed 24 hours before the program.
