Mass Audubon is proud to partner with Kripalu to offer outdoor programs that explores the intersection of mindfulness practices with appreciation of the natural world.
Observing birds in nature shares many qualities with the practice of mindfulness. The focused awareness and calm observation of both activities helps to soothe the mind and promotes connection to the natural world-and ourselves-in profound ways. This program will introduce you to the meditative joys of birdwatching. Hike Kripalu's wooded trails and explore its serene waterways during the height of spring bird migration. We will hope to see Great Blue Herons, woodpeckers, and Bald Eagles along the way. Experience the healing, meditative qualities of "forest bathing" in evergreen-rich woods, and relax with gentle indoor yoga and movement classes.
