Become part of The Farm! Our farm is a partnership betweeen Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary and Ward's Berry Farm with a focus on our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program!
Enjoy 18 weeks of fresh, organic vegetables beginning just after Memorial Day!
At each distribution we aim to provide our shareholders with 6-15 different crops, filling the weekly vegetable needs of a family of four (or two to four adults), depending on how often you cook and how central vegetables are to your diet.
The season starts with leafy greens, spring onions, and radishes. A share in the height of summer may include lettuce, radish, heirloom tomatoes, plum tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, melons, squash, and more. As the season progresses, we will offer pick-your-own options during distribution. This might include flowers, cherry tomatoes, beans, and peas!
We aim to provide a 20% return on initial investment to our shareholders, and pass along the abundance when we experience bumper crops. All shareholders also receive weekly emails with cooking tips, recipes, and updates about our farm, farmers, and farming practices.
Looking to save a little money? Commit to 8 hours of your time harvesting, weeding or helping at pick-up and you can save $75 on the season. If interested in this option, choose the Community Supported Agriculture Work Share in the catalog!
The first distribution date: while we plan for distribution to begin just after Memorial Day, it may be a little earlier than we expect or a week later, depending on the weather and growing conditions. We will send an email confirming the first distribution date as we get closer to the start of the season.
Please note that our CSA is available only to Mass Audubon members - not a member, no problem; membership can be purchased at the time of registration. The cost of membership is in addition to the price of the share.
In addition, we often partner with other Massachusetts farms and growers to offer optional add-ons for our CSA shareholders. We will notify you of these options as they become available, along with pricing and how to sign up.
Register now by clicking on the Add to cart button in the upper right hand corner. Please note that 1 adult member = 1 share. If you would prefer to receive the CSA Registration form, you can download it at www.massaudbon.org/moosehillcsa or contact us at [email protected] and we will email you the form to fill out and mail in or drop off.
All final balances for CSA shares will be due on May 17. We will send email reminders and instructions on how to pay the balance prior to that date. After May 17, full payment is due at the time of registration.
CSA shares are distributed from our barn at The Farm on the corner of Moose Hill Street and South Main Street (4 Moose Hill Street). Parking is available; remember to bring bags with you for your pick-up.
Once registered, look for your confirmation email from Mass Audubon which will provide a link with more information on the free range Chip-in Farm Egg Share.
