Panama hosts over 1,000 species of birds from both North and South America as well as more than 100 regional and local birds found nowhere else in the world. The rugged topography, including mountains, wetlands, and two oceans, make Panama a not-to-be-missed birding hotspot.

We'll virtually explore Canopy Tower near the Canal and Panama City; Canopy Camp in the wild Darien bordering Colombia; and Canopy Lodge, in the mountains toward Costa Rica. Highlights include Harpy Eagle, Rufous-vented Ground Cuckoo, and thousands of migrating Turkey Vultures, Swainson's, and Broad-winged Hawks.

Meet your presenter: Elissa Landre is a Community Advocacy and Engagement Manager and led international tours for Mass Audubon for over 30 years, specializing in the American tropics.
