Do you want to expand your beekeeping skills and move beyond feeling like a beginner year after year? Explore different management options, how to improve your colonies, solve your trickiest problems, and engage with other like-minded beekeepers in this online series. By the end, you'll be able to identify your colony's needs, and have the skills to meet those needs, and develop a sustainable apiary. Participants must have completed an introductory beekeeping course, have a basic understanding of bee biology and management, and have maintained a hive for at least one season.

The course will consist of four online evening lecture and discussion sessions and two in person field days. The field days will take place at Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary in Lincoln, MA

Presenter: Mel Gadd, has been an active beekeeper for over 14 years, he's a member & past board member of the Essex County Beekeepers Association and current board member of the Boston Area Beekeepers Association. Mel was also named Massachusetts Beekeeper of the year in 2017, by the Massachusetts Beekeeping Association.
