As temperatures cool and autumn arrives, Miss Lisa invites you to join her for some family friendly nature walks. Let's explore the woods, a pond, and the beach to look for creatures like birds, fish, frogs, and more while we learn, play, and explore. We'll use our "science eyes" and "nature ears" and discover wildife together!
All children must be accompanied by at least one participating adult. Sign up for one or more sessions.
9/10: Who Lives in the Pond?
Snails, worms, beetles, and more! Let's safely explore the edge of the pond and find the creatures that are busy eating and growing and molting.
10/15: Who Lives at the Beach?
Clams burrow in the sand, crabs hide under the rocks, and shrimp scurry iin the tide pools! Let's learn how to safely and carefully find and dientify the beach creatures that live here.
11/12: Who Lives under a Log?
It's the busy season at the Log Hotel! Let's visit this habitat to see if we can find insects, salamanders, and other creepy crawlies that are getting ready for a cold winter.
12/10: Whose Tracks are in the Woods?
Animals that hop, step, and waddle are preparing for winter! Let's look for evidence of mammals actively storing food, making their winter burrows and dens, and leaving behind their tracks for us to follow.
Prior to the program, you will receive an email with information on where to meet, parking and facilities details, driving directions, and other guidelines. Dress for the weather and terrain.
