Experience the magic! Thousands of swallows, herons, and egrets fly in for their evening roost in the expansive marsh of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge at sunset, all easily seen from our earth-based vantage point. In the surrounding mudflats, we'll also scan for plovers and sandpipers foraging as they refuel for their next stretch of migration. Just when the evening couldn't get any better, we may hear the serenade of the resident Eastern Whip-poor-will as the sun falls below the horizon.
