Now in its 26th year, Wednesday Morning Birding gives birders of all skill levels excellent exposure to the hot spots in one of the most productive birding areas in the country. Each Wednesday throughout the year (except July), we'll travel by van and carpool to focus our field trip on the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Plum Island, the Merrimack River estuary, and other locations around Essex County.
Preregistration is not necessary. Four-trip special: $60 for Mass Audubon members, $70 for nonmembers. Trips need not be consecutive for special price. Please call or email to sign up for program announcements, updates, and birding reports via our Wednesday Morning Birding email list.
Meet at Joppa Flats Education Center. Please wear weather-appropriate clothes and sturdy footwear, and bring binoculars, spotting scopes, and snacks or lunch.
Masks are required indoors and in vans; they are optional outdoors. Anyone wishing to travel in a Mass Audubon vehicle must present their vaccination record (actual or photo) for visual confirmation.
