Bird with us for three hours on any Friday morning from August 6th through October 1st! We'll travel by van and carpool, taking our time to explore birding hot spots in the greater Newburyport area, including the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Oak Hill Cemetery, Pikes Bridge Road, and Salisbury Beach State Reservation. Focus your fall birding on warblers, shorebirds, and raptors as they migrate south through our area. All experience levels welcome.

On September 24th, we'll depart from our usual routine and meet at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield to discover fall migrants with a different habitat focus.

Instructions and Directions:

Meet at Joppa Flats Education Center. Bring binoculars and a field guide to birds. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and terrain.

Masks are required indoors and in vans; they are optional outdoors. Anyone wishing to travel in a Mass Audubon vehicle must bring their vaccination record (actual or photo) for visual confirmation.

Please note our NEW CANCELLATION POLICY: If cancellations are made less than 7 days prior to the program, refunds cannot be issued.
