Join us for a trip to Gloucester and environs to seek out gulls. This field trip will concentrate on identification and aging of our most common gulls, but of course, we will search for unusual species. Gloucester Harbor and coastline are excellent places for studying gulls. If circumstances dictate, we will shift the starting point to another Essex County location.
Meet at Jodrey Fish Pier, Gloucester. Directions will be provided. Bring binoculars, a scope if you have one, and a field guide to birds. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and terrain. There may or may not be bathroom facilities at the sites we visit.
PLEASE NOTE: This program will be conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. Groups are limited to 10 preregistered adults. Participants are required to wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines. Mass Audubon cannot loan field equipment at this time. A detailed confirmation letter will be emailed 24 hours before the program.
