Our mission: track down the rarest species within 2 hours of Drumlin Farm. Once we find the desired bird, we will move onto other productive birding areas nearby. Unusual birds that have been seen in mid-fall include Greater White-fronted and Cackling Geese, Eurasian Widgeon, Black-bellied Whistling Duck, Common Ringed Plover, Marbled Godwit, Purple or Common Gallinule, Sabine's, Little, or Black-headed Gulls, Rufous Hummingbird, Northern Wheatear, Yellow-headed Blackbird, and more. This day is an adventure from start to finish.

Instructions and Directions:

1. Meet at Drumlin Farm, where we will travel together in Mass Audubon vans. All participants riding in a Mass Audubon vehicle must be masked and present their vaccination record - actual or photo. Masks are optional when not in vans.
2. We'll stop for lunch, not included in fee, at a location to be determined depending on which species we target. Participants are also invited to bring their own lunch.

3. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, sun protection, good walking shoes, water, and snacks. Trip leaders will be bringing scopes.

Registration is required.
