Aquidneck Island in Rhode Island features ponds, grasslands, ocean, and beach habitats that are excellent for winter birding. The area is famous for wintering ducks including Barrow's Goldeneye, Harlequin Duck, Northern Shoveler, and Northern Pintail. With the variety of habitats Snow Bunting, Red-throated Loon, Red-necked Grebe, shorebirds, and several raptors are also possible. On every previous trip, we've found outstanding rarities in this area and anticipate another successful day this December.

Also open to teens age 14 and older with an adult.

Please note: This trip will meet in Portsmouth, RI and then continue in Mass Audubon vans. Directions to the meeting place will be sent to registered participants. All participants must show proof of vaccination and remain masked at all times while in the vans.
