Take a personalized, private, and safe guided tour into the wonders of nature and farming with your family. A Mass Audubon Naturalist will lead your group on a two-hour exploration of Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary, guiding you through hands-on investigations of plants and animals and observing the interactions and energy flow in the ecosystem or a hands-on family farm chore experience.
Choose Your Program:
Morning or Afternoon Farm Chores: We need your help caring for our farm animals! Spend a morning or afternoon at the farm where you'll collect eggs and feed hay to the sheep, goats, cows, and chickens. Afterwards, you'll spend some quality time hanging out in the pens/pastures with some of our farmyard friends.
Habitat Hike: Join one of our Teacher Naturalists for a seasonal hike on pathways less travelled, over the drumlin and through the woods, as you search for animal tracks and signs and investigate their New England winter survival strategies. What plants and animals will we find along the way?
Pond Explorations: Ponds are an amazing and diverse habitat that are home to many plants and animals. Some creatures are easy to spot and others require a bit more exploration to find and observe. Let's grab our dip nets and discover what lives in and around our ponds.
