“Wake up, sleepyhead. It's Bird Count Day!”

Join children's author and nature educator Susan Edwards Richmond on a picture book birdwatching adventure! In Bird Count, a child becomes a citizen scientist for a day in her town's annual Christmas Bird Count. Learn tips on observing and identifying birds from the author, and take home a craft that will help with bird counts of your own. Susan Edwards Richmond teaches at the Drumlin Farm Community Preschool. The book is sumptuously illustrated by Stephanie Fizer Coleman.

Copies of the book will be available for sale.

This event is free to Mass Audubon members; $5 to nonmembers.
