Woodcocks are upland shorebirds, which nest in forested habitat like at Broadmoor Wildlife sanctuary. In early spring woodcocks make their way to field edges to court, filling the last hours of daylight with spectacular aerial displays. Listen for their unusual call and watch as they rocket up 100' or more and zigzag back to earth. Join us as we search out this amazing rite of spring, while also listening for other nocturnal creatures.
Open to children 10 years and older with an adult.
