Learn about our native New England owls, including what makes them unique nighttime hunters, and search for them at Broad Meadow Brook. A short introduction to their behavior, adaptations, and ecology will be followed by a walk on nearby trails to listen and look for local owls. Come away with a deeper knowledge of these amazing birds and the skills to look for them on your own. This program will be held outdoors, with moderate walking at dusk.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will be conducted in accordance with current municipal, state, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. This program will meet and take place outdoors. Masks or face coverings are optional when outdoors, however masks are required whenever indoors, e.g. for restrooms and filling water bottles. A detailed confirmation letter will be emailed 24 hours before the program.

Instructions and Directions:

Dress to be outdoors with minimal activity for 90 minutes. Look for a second confirmation letter within 24 hours of the program start.
