In this 6-week series we will learn about different types of trees, their parts and the function of each, then use our new knowledge to differentiate a few species. We will calculate tree heights using measuring tapes and rulers, and consider why this information is useful to foresters and conservationists. We will also discuss the importance of trees in urban landscapes and what we can do to help trees.
Classes will be held outdoors except for extreme inclement weather. Health forms are required for drop off students. Families are always welcome to remain on the sanctuary.
Homeschool classes for ages 5-7 and 12-16 year olds meet at the same time.
This program will be conducted in accordance with current municipal, state, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. This program will meet and take place outdoors.
