April Vacation Camp combines all the great elements of a day camp with the unique opportunities of a spring nature program. Join us as we discover a world full of bold colors, complex designs and surprising creatures though science, art and thoughtful play activities. Every day we will discover the world around us through an engaging nature-inspired curriculum and in a safe, inclusive camp community.
Owls (age 5-6) have their own curriculum that is age appropriate and based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. The theme is explored through a combination of the following activities: observations, investigations, group projects, nature journals, walks on the trails, art activities, related group games, songs, and more.
Every day we are outdoors, playing in the Nature Nook, building forts, and going for walks on a beautiful 67 acre wildlife sanctuary. Time spent outdoors is a valuable and integral part of the April Vacation Week program. For best learning experience it's important that each child is dressed for the weather.
PLEASE NOTE: This program will be held outdoors with short warming indoor breaks if needed. For the best learning experience, it's important that each child is dressed for the weather. Please also send lunch, two snack, water, and an extra mask. The program will be conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. Participants are required to wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines.
In the event of inclement weather, sustained heavy rain or thunderstorm warning or advisory during program hours, or in the preceding hours, the program day will be canceled.

Camp and Vacation Fees: Camp and Vacation week fees can be adjusted by using the sliding scale form, found on the BNC camp webpage. The total fee for April Vacation week is due by April 5, 2021.
