Summer evenings are filled with the mechanical sounds of katydids, also known as long-horned grasshoppers, as well as tree crickets. View a slide show about the katydids, their life cycles, relatives, other grasshoppers, and crickets. We will listen to the different sounds indoors and then go outside to hear and identify the many different night insect sounds at Arcadia
