About the Artist

Natalia (Natasha) Broude is a watercolor artist who realized her attraction to visual art early in childhood, but went on to dedicate dedicated her career to science. She graduated from the Chemistry Department of the Moscow State University and later earned Ph.D. and D. Sci grades in Chemistry and Molecular Biology. After emigrating from Russia to the United States in 1991, Natasha worked at Boston University for more than 25 years. After retiring from BU in 2017, she delved deeply into her lifelong affinity for the fine arts, focusing on watercolor painting and taking advantage of all the possibilities offered by contemporary methods of professional development. Natasha has participated in workshops with renowned masters of watercolor such as Joseph Zbukvic, Herman Pekel, and Boston-based artist Gary Tucker.
