Campers at Wild of Art Summer Camp

No two days at camp are alike, but this sample schedule gives an overview of daily activities and flow.

7:45–9 am

Before Camp Program (Optional)

During this optional period (registration required), campers can choose from a variety of activities including creating art, games, crafts or free play. 

9–9:15 am

Camper Drop-Off

9:15–9:30 am

Opening Circle & All-Camp Activity

Campers arrive at camp to reunite and socialize. They may play games, create art, or do an activity to get to know one another better. Parents and staff can communicate at this time about their camper and how the day may go.

9:30–Noon

Morning Nature, Art Activities, & Snack

Campers will go on nature explorations on the wildlife sanctuary, play camp games, and have snack. 

Noon–1:00 pm

Lunch & Free Choice Activity

After cleaning hands, campers enjoy lunch sent from home, usually in a shady spot or at the picnic tables on the sanctuary. After they finish, campers perform a tick-check, then re-apply sunscreen and bug spray.

1:00–2:45 pm

Afternoon Nature & Art Activities

Campers directly interact with nature on trails, in the meadows, in the forest, and from the brook or vernal pool to find plants and organisms! Campers will use what they their nature explorations as inspiration for various art projects. Concepts are reinforced through fun thematic activities, crafts, and games.

2:45–3 pm

Closing Circle

Campers share their favorite moments from the day with their camp groups.

3–3:15 pm

Camper Pick-Up

Campers participate in simple games such as “Everybody-is-It Tag,” or socialize as they wait to go home. Parents and staff can communicate at this time about their camper and how the day went.

3–5:30 pm

After Camp Program (Optional)

During this optional period (registration required), campers create art, play games, have a snack, and go on short nature explorations.
