Sea Turtle Necropsies Grade 9-12

After studying sea turtles and why some strand on Cape Cod’s bayside beaches during winter months, students will participate in the necropsy of a sea turtle. Under the supervision of teachers, students will gain experience performing a necropsy and recording and communicating data. Findings provide valuable scientific data to our understanding of sea turtle biology and physiology and may be used by researchers across the globe.
