The following sightings were reported December 22–28, 2021.

The Bell’s Vireo continued at Fort Hill in Eastham this week and a Painted Bunting has been visiting a private yard in East Sandwich.

Belated highlights from the Cape Cod Christmas Bird Count, which spanned from Harwich to Eastham on December 19, included a Yellow Rail, 2 Soras, 2 Marbled Godwits, a Great Egret, 3 Snowy Owls, a Northern Shrike, a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, a Prairie Warbler, and at least 10 Yellow-breasted Chats.

At Race Point in Provincetown sightings this week included a Pacific Loon, an Atlantic Puffin, a Western Sandpiper, 93 Dovekies, a Thick-billed Murre, 217 Common Murres, a Black Guillemot, 315 Razorbills, 42 Black-legged Kittiwakes, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 13 Iceland Gulls, and 40 Snow Buntings.

Reports from the Mid-Cape Christmas Bird Count coverage of West Dennis included a Clapper Rail, a Western Willet, 4 Ruddy Turnstones, a Black-bellied Plover, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, and a Snowy Owl.

Highlights from the Stellwagen Bank Christmas Bird Count on December 27 included a Pomarine Jaeger, 4 Atlantic Puffins, 17 Dovekies, 104 Common Murre, and 31 Black-legged Kittiwakes.

Other sightings around the Cape this week included a Sora in Centerville, 5 Baltimore Orioles visiting a feeder in North Dennis, Eastern Phoebes in Mashpee, Sandwich, and Barnstable, an American Woodcock in South Truro, and a Blue-winged Teal in North Truro.
