What’s New for Day Camp
As we countdown to the start of nature day camp at Wellfleet Bay, we’re looking forward to a great summer, including some exciting changes from last year.
A Return for All Age Groups
We’re pleased to announce that our full complement of camper groups is being offered this summer, including our popular program for teens, Counselors-in-Training (formerly known as Leaders-in-Training). CITs, many of them longtime campers, get the chance to return to camp and develop outdoor education skills which eventually can lead to becoming camp counselors.
The two youngest camper groups, the Discoverers (ages 4-5) and the Adventurers (ages 6-7) will also return this summer.
A Cool New Thing
Wellfleet Bay nature day camp has always been cool, but this summer it will be even more so! Our three classrooms are now air conditioned, thanks to new mini splits powered cleanly by the sanctuary’s many photovoltaic solar panels, allowing campers to get a break from extra-hot summer days.
As always, there is a discount on registration for all Mass Audubon family members. There’s also a resident rate for children who attend Cape Cod schools. Financial assistance is also available for qualifying families. Learn more>
Join Our Camp Staff!
While many of our camp staff are returning this summer, we’re always on the look-out for environmental educators who love working with children. College students and grads with majors in environmental science or education are encouraged to submit applications to join our camp staff. Find out more about available positions.
Mass Audubon Cape Cod is grateful for the two gifts from generous Leadership Friends that made the day camp classroom cooling (and heating) possible.
