Save the date! Plans are underway to hold the Cape Cod Natural History Conference on Saturday, March 11, 2023* at Cape Cod Community College in West Barnstable.

The in-person conference, a 25-year-old tradition, was on a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. It will return with a full slate of presentations featuring the latest science and environmental study on the Cape and Islands.

Mass Audubon Cape Cod regional director Melissa Lowe says it’s exciting to be bringing the event back in its original form.

“The goal of the conference is to provide information about current environmental studies and  ecological issues affecting the region, but also to give people, especially students, a chance to interact with professional researchers,” she says. “Those opportunities are much greater when people can meet in-person, have conversations, and make connections.”

Request for Proposals

Individuals and organizations interested in presenting at the 2023 conference are encouraged to submit a proposal by December 31st 2022.

*Please note that the conference date in the Winter 2023 issue of Explore is listed as March 18th. The event has since been moved to March 11th.
