Rent a Canoe at Wachusett Meadow

Explore Wildlife Pond by water! Rent a canoe to discover this freshwater habitat and its resident wildlife—including beavers and birds—while enjoying the peaceful tranquility of this gentle pond.

Canoe rentals are available through October 31 (weather permitting). Great for families, "quaran-teams," scout troops, community groups, homeschool groups, and more! 

Cost

  • Members: $10/hour per canoe
  • Nonmembers: $15/hour per canoe

Fee includes boat, paddles, and Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs).

For best availability, we ask that you make your reservation 1-2 days in advance. While the sanctuary is open every day, rental hours vary as the main office and gift shop are still closed due to COVID-19.

Please Note

Canoes are for use on Wachusett Meadow property onlythey may not be taken off the sanctuary grounds!

Occasionally, canoes may not be available because they are being used in a public canoeing program. We recommend you call ahead (978-464-2712) to check on availability and conditions.
