Tidmarsh Officially Opens to Public
After several weeks of work that started in early December, major construction on our parking lot was completed earlier this week.
With that last hurdle overcome, we're thrilled to be able to announce that Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary is now officially open to the public!
Things to Do
Come enjoy our 3+ miles of trails that explore Tidmarsh's many thriving habitats, including grasslands, Atlantic white cedar swamp, red maple swamp, pine-oak forest, streams, and ponds.
Tidmarsh also offers excellent winter birding! In late December, birders at Tidmarsh found an Eastern pheobe and a common yellowthroat, both lingering migrants, as well as rare species like a Eurasian wigeon and a clay-colored sparrow.
Now is the perfect time to visit Mass Audubon's newest wildlife sanctuary, open daily from dawn to dusk. We hope to see you soon!
