A Day at Berkshire Nature Camp | Sample Schedule

No two days are alike at Berkshire Nature Camp, but this sample schedule gives an idea of activity types and daily flow.

8:45–9 am

Counselors Welcome Campers at the Nature Play Area

Greet your camp friends as you play at our Nature Play area. Caregivers sign in campers with their counselor. When everyone has arrived, your counselor will gather all to head to the cubbies.

9–9:30 am

Morning Circle, Nature Pledge, & Announcements

After stowing your gear, you’ll join Morning Circle and get ready to start your day!

9:30 am–Noon

Hikes, Habitat Explorations, Crafts, & Snack

Morning activities include long hikes, ponding, or stream exploring—it changes each day!

Younger campers will also enjoy snack time.

Noon–12:30 pm

Picnic Lunch in the Field

Bring your refrigerated lunch out to the field and gather with friends to eat.

12:30–1 pm

Camper Choice Time

Get active or create quietly—your choice! LITs have lots of fun games to enjoy.

1–2:45 pm

Afternoon Activities, Crafts, & Water Play

You may be crafting, enjoying a game of "Drip, Drip, Drop," or hiking to a beaver pond to observe wildlife activity.

2:45-3 pm

Closing Circle, Nature Notes, Camp Song, & Squeeze

Join with the rest of camp for Closing Circle and sharing. We’ll end with our “Squeeze”—can we beat the time of the previous record?!

3-3:15 pm

Camper Pick-Up

Counselors bring you to your caregiver for sign out and answer any questions they might have about your day. See you soon!
