Birding in the Berkshires
Downloads |
Join us on an upcoming guided birding program, go birding on your own, or sign up for a custom birding trip. Whichever you choose, bring the checklist of birds you might see at Pleasant Valley.
After your visit, take a few minutes to submit your bird sightings to Mass Audubon’s eBird page, a collaboration with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology that is gradually providing us with a comprehensive picture of the abundance and distribution of birds at our wildlife sanctuaries.
Program Locations
Join a birding program at our Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Lenox, Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary in Pittsfield, and Lime Kiln Farm Wildlife Sanctuary in Sheffield. Programs are available for beginners and experienced birders alike.
Pleasant Valley hosts a wide variety of birds year-round. Our skilled guides will help you find the best bird sightings in any season at hot spots and lesser known locations throughout the Berkshires. From woodland warblers in spring to migrant waterfowl in fall and winter, our naturalists will help you understand the unique life histories of these amazing birds.
