Nature Play Area At Moose Hill

You can help create an inviting and fun new experience at Moose Hill!
Nature Play Areas add more ways for people to connect with nature by encouraging self-directed, informal play. Unlike static, traditional playgrounds, Nature Play Areas give children the chance to solve problems and construct their surroundings though natural elements and unstructured exploration.
Cookie’s Garden: a Nature Play Area at Moose Hill will provide a safe place where children of all ages and abilities can use their imagination while exploring the sanctuary’s natural elements. While Moose Hill’s trained teacher-naturalists use nature play on a regular basis as part of our programs, a dedicated space offers a gentle introduction to nature for parents and children.
Not only will families have a place to spend more outside time together but so will school children visiting the wildlife sanctuary, after-school program participants, campers, and children coming for other group activities, such as scouts.

We are off to a great start! A local family is raising money to help fund a portion of the project to honor the memory of Cookie Gebler, a former volunteer and supporter of Moose Hill.
Your support is critical to making this space a reality at Moose Hill. Help us reach our goal by donating today.
