Ecosystems are constantly changing. Discover the keystone species that cause most change to our forests, learn to iden­tify invasive species, observe a field undergoing succession and look for signs of competition among plants. A role-play activity will bring understanding of the environmental is­sues of fragmentation and habitat loss.
Significant savings are offered when you select a second program to create a full-day of hands-on learning at Moose Hill. This program combines well with Adaptations and the Food Web, Weather and Climate, or Watersheds and Wetlands. Because of our large trail system and full-day option, we can serve up to 140 students for many programs. We provide a ratio of one Moose Hill teacher-naturalist to 12 to 14 students.
This 2-hour program may be combined with another program to create a full-day of hands-on learning. Full day programs are offered at a significant savings. Full day rates start at $14 per student and depend upon the programs selected. We provide a ratio of one Moose Hill teacher naturalist per 12 to 14 students. We can serve up to 140 students for full day programs. One adult (teacher or chaperone) is free for every 6 students. The minimum fee is based on 10 participants per Moose Hill teacher naturalist scheduled for your program. Contact the Moose Hill education coordinator to learn more and to schedule your program. The cost for this program goes up after June 1 to $14 a student for the 2 hour program.
