Annual Native Plant Sale

Painted Lady butterfly on Purple Coneflower bloom

Have you been spending more time in your yard and want to add some native plants to the mix? Well, it's time to get your hands in the dirt and go native while supporting Moose Hill!

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, this year's Native Plant Sale will be a little different. Instead of holding an in-person sale at Moose Hill, plants will be available by pre-order only.

Our Selection

We offer a wide variety of native perennials to help beautify your gardens and attract hummingbirds and/or butterflies to your yard. Whether you have sun or shade, moist or dry soil, we have plants that will work in your garden. Don't miss this opportunity to add high quality, native plants to your yard!

This year's species include:

Purple Coneflower • Blue Mistflower • Black-Eyed Susan • Marginal Wood Fern • Lady Fern • Swamp Milkweed • Foxglove Beardtongue • Purple Joe Pye Weed • Wild Indigo • White Wood Aster • Blazing Star • Cardinal Flower • Scarlet Beebalm

Plants are just $7 each, while ferns are $10 each. And remember—all proceeds from this sale support Moose Hill's educational programs!

How to Order

We've created an online request form where you can browse all available plants and submit the list of species you'd like to purchase. A Moose Hill staff member will then call you within 48 hours to confirm your order and take your payment information over the phone.

Orders can be picked up on June 6 or June 7 between 10:00 am-2:00 pm. You'll be asked to select which day you'll pickup your order when submitting your online request form. For more about picking up your order, please see "Getting Your Plants" below.

All order requests must be received by June 4. Order early for the best selection! Plants do typically sell out, so don't wait to get your favorites.

Please Note:

  • Forms will be processed in the order in which they are received.
  • Plant requests will be fulfilled while inventory lasts.
  • The photos you see on the request form show each plant at full maturity and in bloom.
  • Please, no phone calls or emails to Moose Hill—this will only slow down the process.

Getting Your Plants

In response to COVID-19, this year's sale will run as curbside pick-up only at our Farm Barn conveniently located just off South Main Street in Sharon (4 Moose Hill Street). Your order will be ready and delivered to your car on your chosen pick-up day—Saturday, June 6, or Sunday, June 7, between 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

Before you arrive, please make sure to have your trunk or back seat ready to receive your plant(s). You may also wish to have a box or container for us to put them in. As a bonus, when you pull in to pick up your order you'll also have a chance to see our beautiful farm fields!

Didn't know that we run an organic farm? We invite you to learn more about our Summer CSA program and Farm Stand. Imagine a guaranteed 18 weeks of fresh, organic vegetables that average about $27-$32 per week! Shares are still available, but if you think that may be too many vegetables for you, we also look forward to opening the Farm Stand in mid-June, with some new rules in place for health and safety.

Your support of our farm provides Moose Hill with needed funds to continue the conservation work and educational programming that we have been doing for over 100 years. As always—thank you for supporting local and native!
