The Museum of American Bird Art offers programs for all levels of girl and boy scouts. Our educators are available to lead groups, exploring diverse habitats of the wildlife sanctuary and covering many natural history topics and art. We can design a program to fulfill the requirements of a specific badge. Special programs include Introduction to Pottery and Digital Photography. The Museum of American Bird Art can also bring programs to your den meetings such as Animals in Winter and Bird Discovery. Self-guided hikes can also be arranged. Programs are offered after school or on weekends. Ask us about opportunities for Eagle or Gold Award projects.
Email Marla Cohen at [email protected] for booking information.
Looking for a place to have a fun and memorable birthday for your child? The Museum of American Bird Art offers birthday party programs for children of all ages. A typical party would include an hour exploration of the wildlife sanctuary with an experienced teacher or a special art project including pottery wheel followed by an hour use of the Living Room in our Estate House for cake and games. Parties can take place year round.

In an environment rich with nature, science, and art, our homeschool classes are full of excitement, laughter, focused awareness, and curiosity—just read our homeschool blog posts. Classes are designed, implemented, and taught by our education coordinator, Sean Kent, who has a graduate degree in field biology and 15 years of teaching experience. He has a passion for art, especially nature journaling, watercolor painting, and photography. Sean has conducted research on native bees, the monarch butterfly, and invasive plants in many locations, including the Boston Harbor Islands, Arizona, and Belize.
