Sea Turtle Stranding Walk, Gr 3-5

Juvenile sea turtles are found cold-stunned and stranded on Cape Cod Bay beaches every year in the late-fall and winter. Join us to learn about the biology of sea turtles and uncover the mystery behind why they strand. Walk the beach to help look for stranded sea turtles and use sea turtle models to get a hands-on perspective of rescue efforts. Discover what steps are taken when a turtle is found and how it is safely transported to the New England Aquarium for rehabilitation.
