Joppa Flats Summer Camp | Philosophy & Credentials
At Joppa Flats Summer Camp, we encourage children’s curiosity about nature through outdoor exploration, play, and hands-on science. Nature-based art projects, games, and cooperative challenges encourage imagination, self-expression, and campers’ connection to each other. Our campers go on multiple local field trips each week to explore amazing habitats first-hand. Small group sizes nurture friendships and ensure that campers stay safe and engaged.
With more than 10 years of experience in connecting children to nature through public, school, and camp programming, Joppa Flats Education Center prides itself in running a safe, organized educational program in which each child matters. Joppa Flats Summer Camp was launched in 2010 and has expanded each year since, now with an entire summer of full-day programming.
Our camp complies with the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (105 CMR 430) and is licensed by the Newburyport Board of Health.
