As spring takes over, it's a great time to explore green spaces in the woods, on trails, and along the shore!

Education Coordinator Lisa Hutchings and her team will guide families with children ages 6-11 on the identification of creatures, provide small group challenges, and share their joy and knowledge of the natural world.

Sign up for one or all of these 2-hour educational outdoor excursions and see nature through the lens of a naturalist! Joppa Flats will provide all field gear and equipment.

Programs take place on Saturday afternoons. Locations are subject to change.

  • April 10 — Spring Pool Sampling at Dow Brook Conservation Area in Ipswich
  • April 17 — Life Returns to the Salt Marsh at Joppa Flats Education Center
  • May 8 — Spring Ponding at Woodsom Farm in Amesbury
  • May 22 — Return to the Tide Pools at Sandy Point State Reservation in Ipswich
