110-Acre Property in Wareham to be Protected
Beach on Sacred Hearts property
We are thrilled to announce that the $2.6 million goal was met to protect the Sacred Hearts property! Thanks to our supporters, we were able to match the offers of competing prospective buyers, as required in the Right of First Refusal.
Our offer was officially accepted on February 14. We are excited to be on our way to purchasing the 110 acres and opening up a 200+ acre sanctuary at Great Neck.
Once Mass Audubon officially acquires this rare, mostly undeveloped, coastal habitat, it will be permanently managed as a conservation area with trails and programs for the public to enjoy.
