Mammal Adaptations

Classroom: Students discover which mammals can be found on Martha's Vineyard and work in groups to identify mammal skulls and pelts provided by Felix Neck. They will focus on teeth adaptations to determine food preferences and survival strategies, then discuss how those needs will be affected by climate change.
Field Trip: Head out on a tracking expedition at Felix Neck and see if you can uncover evidence of roaming mammals as we explore various habitats around the sanctuary.
