Classroom: Students discover the unique characteristics of insects and discuss insect adaptations such as camouflage, life cycles and body structure. The importance of insects to people and wildlife, as well as the importance of respecting even the smallest living things will be emphasized.
Field Trip: Search the Felix Neck fields high and low for insects. Use magnifiers to take a close-up look and see if they are truly insects or another kind of creepy-crawler. We will finish with a game about insect adaptations.
