Bird Adaptations: Fill the Bill

Classroom: Examples of real bird beaks and feet are brought into the classroom for students to observe. Students discover why birds have different beaks and feet depending on their habitat and diet as they play the game, "Fill the Bill".
Field Trip: During a nature walk at Felix Neck, students will use binoculars to identify birds and their unique adaptations and learn how our changing climate is affecting migrations. End with a wing-flapping game all about avian adaptations.
